Sound Beach Avenue bridge replacement work to begin Monday, April 11

The long-anticipated project to replace the Sound Beach Avenue (SBA) bridge over the Cider Mill Creek near the Perrot Library rotary will begin on April 11, 2022. The construction project will create the need for a detour around the site until July 1, 2022. (See photo below for detour route.) Pedestrians along SBA will be routed through Binney Park during construction.

Riverside residents living up hill from Binney Park should expect heavier traffic through their neighborhood as drivers look for alternate routes to avoid congestion in the SBA area. Please budget extra travel time and take caution walking local streets during the next few months.
